The Bleess Family: 9 Months Old!

Vanessa & Valerie are 9 months old today! Time sure has flown! They weigh about 17 pounds- they don't go for their check-up until January 7th. Their personalities are sure coming out. Miss Valerie is happy-go-lucky! She loves sticking her tongue out lately. She looks adorable! She also makes raspberry sounds and put her hand into a fist and moves it back and forth against her mouth to make sounds. She's crawling into EVERYTHING! She's especially drawn to the dogs' food and water bowls. She picks up the dog food and looks at it in her hand. Surprisingly she hasn't put it in her mouth! She has on 2 occasions- one being today tipped the water bowl over and gotten soaking wet. I can't turn my back for a second! We have a lot of fun together, making each other laugh. Miss Vanessa on the other hand is our "serious" one. I've brought the girls to Zac's preschool twice, and that's how his teachers tell them apart. They said Valerie is the happy one and Vanessa is the serious one- and they are right! Vanessa does have her moments of smiles and giggles, but for the most part, she seems to be thinking alot. She's also getting frustrated that she can't crawl like her sister. She's getting close though! She gets on all fours and rocks back and forth. Then the screaming begins! We also have our moments of laughing together. I do this trick where I nuzzle my face against her neck and make sounds- Vanessa bursts out laughing. Even when I make a funny face or get close to her face, she starts laughing! She likes to make sounds with her mouth too- she makes a clicking sound with her tongue. They are sitting up like pros- Valerie will still tip over on occasion. They are splashing in the bathtub! Valerie loves kicking her feet and getting me all wet. Vanessa is usually the first one awake in the mornings. I have to wake Valerie up. Valerie can say "Mama" and "Baba" and Vanessa says "Dada". I can't believe all the changes that happen in a baby's first year of life. It truly is amazing. Even though they drive me crazy at times, I am truly blessed with 3 beautiful and healthy children. I can't wait to celebrate their first Christmas this year and our first family of 5 Christmas! Happy Holidays Everyone!
