Hanging Out & Homework

This weekend was calm compared to last weekend! Friday night we stayed at home. Ryan had to get up early for work (2:30am!!) so he was exhausted when he got home. Zac decided to go to bed at 8:00 with Daddy. I stayed up with the girls and took a test for my one of my online classes. Saturday Ryan and I got our haircuts. Later on, Mom watched the kids while we did our weekly trip to the grocery store. We brought back Papa John's for dinner, yum! We didn't do much that day, but the day flew by! Sunday we ran a few errands. We went to Babies R Us and I pushed the girls in the double stroller! I must say they looked pretty cute! We had Sunday dinner at Grandma Linda's. After we got home, I had to another online test for my other class. I forgot to mention last weekend when Ryan and I went to the movies that I got carded!! Can you believe it? I'm 28 years old and got carded when buying tickets to a rated R movie! Ryan said I should have told the girl that I have 3 kids, haha!

Party, Date Night, & Father's Day!

Wow- we had an eventful weekend (which is unusual for us nowadays!). Friday night my family celebrated Mimi Donna's 60th birthday at Tim's Pizza. Her actual birthday is the 24th. Her big surprise was that Rich, Jenn, and Maddy flew in from Texas for the weekend! She had no idea. We were happy to see them! Everyone was excited to see the girls. This time we decided to make name tags for them! We get tired of having to say "who's who" at big family functions! They worked! We got to eat in peace :) Saturday my friend Melissa and I went to lunch at El Maguey. Lindsey and Leann were supposed to join us, but had things come up at the last minute. I brought the girls with me (Ryan and Zac had father-son day). Melissa and I ran to a few other places after lunch. The girls stole the show! Every place we want, everyone commented on the twins. Oh, and I left the camera with Ryan because he promised he'd take pictures of Zac- they went to Missouri Town and saw the buffalo. I knew he'd forget the camera.. and he did! I was wanting to bring it- besides Tim's Pizza, El Maguey was the 1st time I'd taken the girls inside a restaurant (when we eat out, it's either drive-through or we pick it up and bring it back home!). They had their 1st trip to the mall (Independence Center). That was the most the girls and I had been out in a long time!! Afterwards, Melissa watched the kiddos. For Ryan's Father's Day present I took him to the movies and we say "The Hangover." We both enjoyed it. The last time we went to the movies was after Christmas when we saw Seven Pounds (I got an AMC giftcard, haha!). Ryan reading the Rocky Father's Day card Zac got him- it played Rocky music when you opened it! Last year was Ryan's 1st Father's Day with Zac, just one year later on his 2nd Father's Day, he's celebrating the day with 3 kids!! Who would have guessed?! The kids in their Hawaiian outfits- Val's in green.

Good Eatin'!

This weekend we ate some good food! Friday night Ryan and I were both craving BBQ. Normally we would have gone inside to eat at Zarda's. The last time we did that was before the girls were born. Instead, we called in our order and picked it up! Saturday we did our normal routine: My mom watches the kids while Ryan and I go grocery shopping. Then we went to Grandma Linda's for yummy Papa John's pizza. Sunday we visited Mimi Donna and Papa Randy. We hadn't seen them in a few weeks. We had to show them Zac's new haircut! He had fun playing with Colton, Carter, and Cate. Especially when we played outside with the bubbles. We ate a yummy dinner of cheesey mostaccioli. The girls are lifting up their heads- they're really strong! They've started smiling just a few days ago, and cooing! It's been hard taking these 2 online courses and being a full-time Mommy. In 3 short weeks I'll have to add full-time employee to my resume! The girls turned 12 weeks old today. They are really filling out, weighing over 8 pounds! Val's on the left. Nessa's not impressed- I love her expression!

Zac Man

Kissing Val- whether she likes it or not! Cool shades! Riding the truck!

Sweet Dreams

The girls are so adorable! They sleep in the same positions. It's crazy! They are identical though :)

Zac's New Look

Last week Zac got his haircut. Not just any haircut- we decided to get him a buzz cut! He gets so hot and with our humid summers, we thought this would be a way to cool him off! He's my handsome boy!

Just Hangin' Out

Wednesday Aunt Jacey and Evan came to see the girls. Evan is getting so big, 6 months old! He liked playing with Zac's toys. Friday my friend Leann came to visit. She's a natural with babies :) Zac really warmed up to her! He liked wearing her flip-flops, it was too cute! Saturday Zac and I were sitting on the front porch watching Ryan mow. Zac tried to go backwards down the steps and completely missed a step. I tried to catch him, but he fell flat on his face on the concrete. I felt horrible. He was crying, there was blood (a lot). He was ok, thank goodness. He scraped his chin and bit the inside of his lip. We were afraid he knocked a top tooth loose. Scared me to death! This was his first major "boo-boo." I'm sure there will be many more! After lunch and a nap, Grandma B watched the kiddos while Ryan and I went grocery shopping. I know, exciting! We live on the edge :) Sunday I took Zac and we went on a few errands, I needed to get out of the house! Then we had a yummy brisket dinner at Grandma Linda's.
