End of Summer

Lately our weekends have been filled with errands and spending time with family. Fridays are usually spent at home, Ryan and I are both tired from the work-week. This past Friday he had energy and took Zac to Home Depot, got gas for the mower, and mowed the front yard. Exciting! Saturday I had some reading to do for my TV class I'm taking- Intro. to Cell Biology. the class is taught at Penn Valley, there's a web cam set up and there's about 20 of us in "TV Land" and 20 in the actual classroom. It's an ideal class! Of course it's offered through Time Warner and Comcast, and we have AT&T. So I have to load up the kids and watch it at Grandma Beth's or Mimi Donna's. We finished Saturday by doing our usual routine and relaxed on the couch. Sunday we went to Mimi Donna's for hamburgers on the grill, one of my favorites! Zac was a monster becuase he woke up at 6:30 that morning and was in need of a NAP. We ate and visited for awhile and left, hoping he would take a nap. He fell asleep within minutes of getting in the car. But when we got home, he refused to get in bed. Zac will be staring preschool on Friday, August 28th. I know he will have so much fun! He'll go twice a week for 4 hours. It'll be good for the both of us :)Zac used the potty chair for the 1st time on Sunday!! We bought it for him awhile ago, but he was scared of it. Now we're having him sit on it every few hours to get used to it. He's gone 5 or 6 times!! He's afraid of the guard splash though, it gets in his way, haha!

Family Time

Friday night we went to Papa Randy and Mimi Donna's to visit. We hadn't seen them in quite some time. Zac had a blast. He loves the bike he went home with! Saturday was our routine grocery shopping after dropping the kiddos off at Grandma Beth's. Then we headed over to Grandma Linda's for dinner to celebrate her birthday. With Ryan, his siblings, and their spouses and kids, there are 18 of us!!! 7 of which are grandkids! Christmas is going to be loud and crazy! The kids are so close in age (3 and under) they have a blast playing! We were so tired when we got home, we were in bed by 10pm! Sunday we ran a few errands- easier said than done. We stopped at Kohl's and all we bought was a griddle. By the time we loaded the girls in the double stroller and Zac walked- I should have just ran in. It was tiresome! Then we had a roast dinner at Grandma Beth's. Friday was Jessica's last day to watch the kids. We all had to pose for a final shot! All in all, it was a good weekend.

To-Do List

I had too many pics to choose from, so I created an album! Enjoy! Uncle James took over baby-sitting duty last week while Jessica was on vacation. I didn't even think of taking any pictures! Friday I picked up yummy Chinese food for dinner. Usually Friday nights are boring for us. Ryan gets up between 3am-4am for work so he's exhausted and I'm tired too! We just relaxed (in between feedings) and watched TV. Saturday we did a lot of errands. In the morning I took Scooter to the vet- Crain Veterinary in Grain Valley- highly recommend it- great staff and great prices! Scooter got his yearly shots, heartworm test, and teeth cleaned. I didn't realize how dirty his teeth were until the vet showed me. But now Scoot's good to go for another year! The girl that brought him out to me was an old friend I used to work with at Price Chopper when I was in high school! Small world! Then it was off to Grandma's to drop off the kiddos. Ryan and I went all over Blue Springs: Price Chopper, Hy-Vee, Walmart,Brown's Furniture (tempting, but we didn't buy anything!). Sunday we stained the concrete on our front porch brown. And we cleaned out the garage. We had so many toys that needed to be taken to the basement! Zac had a blast playing outside. He entertained himself with his toys while we cleaned. I had to remind him to take a drink every so often since it was so hot. And that folks, was the exciting weekend of a mom and dad with 3 kids under the age of 2!

8/1/2009

Uncle Nick and his girlfriend Melissa pose for a picture! Vanessa was pretty in pink. Valerie was wide awake! And Zac trying out Kevin's birthday present.

Birthday Party for 2!

Saturday we celebrated Ryan's 2 nephews' birthdays, Matt turned 3 and Kevin turned 1. The theme was Spongebob Squarepants- uh-oh, that gives me an idea for Zac's 2nd birthday!! All the kids had a blast! Reminder- Grandma Linda has 7 grandkids ages 3 and under! Kevin digged into his Brobee cake (from Yo Gabba Gabba!) and Matt had a SpongeBob Squarepants cake. Aunt Becca did a great job making both!
